Episode 2 – Views of nature
Passover is a holiday that celebrates spring, the time we return to the reawakening nature with all its scents and sights. Romi Neumark begins her tour with the scroll of “Song of Songs” and continues with an exploration of Israeli nature paintings. We will examine the approach to nature in Israeli art and its connection to the creator's values, the change of motivation for painting throughout history and the visual means artists employed to express their worldview.
Point of View is a partnership between Beit Avi Chai and the Israel Museum. Each episode presents a Jewish holiday theme through the eyes of objet d’art from the Israel Museum’s collection.
