The wording the Torah uses to describe the creation of man differs from the language used for the creation of all other beings. What can we learn from this difference about humanity’s role in the world? What is meant by God’s command to man to dominate? Is man an all-powerful ruler over nature, free to exploit it, or is humanity charged with a moral responsibility toward nature and the world around us?
