Parashat Behaalotecha

This Shabbat we read Parashat "Behaalotecha" which mentions the golden menorah in the Mishkan [the Tabernacle] (and later also in the Temple).

Among the duties of Aaron the priest was also the requirement to light the candles that spread their light. This meeting will deal with various expressions of light, from the light of the creation of the world to the metaphorical light, the light of the Torah and the light of redemption; all this against the background of the physical light that accompanies our lives and the art around us.
